Easter 2007
Member's Meeting Rally
The rally was held at Esholt and was well attended as it was the member's meeting rally where, amongst other things, discussions were made with regards to rallies for 2008. There was a difference of opinions for the holiday rally. Some were in favor of Scotland but there were also those in favor of Kent and Wales. It was decided that a decision would be deferred until the October meeting and if a decision can still not be made a vote will be cast. For those of you who couldn't make it to Esholt there is still time to have your say. Just come to the next rally and give us your opinion.
Saturday evening was Gordon's birthday party. Cake and sandwiches were plentiful and a good time was had by all.
Easter Rally
Eight members attended the Easter rally at Thrybergh Country Park along with a guest introduced by Gordon, who may join the club in the near future. The weather forecast was good, with warm sunshine most of the weekend. On Sunday there was a Farmer's market on along with a Crafts fair. We were very much spoilt for choice with a good variety of meats and pies. This was ideal, as it was Sunday we were having our BBQ along with the Easter Bonnet Parade. Later in the evening the Easter Bunny made an appearance giving out gifts of Easter Eggs (See photo's).
The quiz was won by Eunice. Then all too soon Monday had come round and it was time to pack up and head for home. Another good weekend rally made by friends enjoying each other's company.
Forthcoming Events
Now that we have had the Member's meeting rally along with the Easter weekend, we only have the fishing rally weekend at Barlow before it is the Cornwall holiday rally. Before the main holiday venue in Cornwall, there is a half way meeting up rally at North Warnborough. It is a small farm site, and should anyone wish to meet up there en-route to Cornwall, then get in touch with Ian. For those who have Sat Nav in their vehicles, the postcode is RG29 1EU. Should you wish to travel to North Warnborough together, then we will arrange a meeting up point and travel in convoy. Please book in as early as possible. State on the booking form if you wish to travel together.
A little further ahead is the A.G.M. End of Season Dinner Rally at the Black Bull, Pickering. It is essential that those members who wish to attend the Saturday evening dinner to book in as soon as possible, but no later than Monday October 8th. Thank you.
